About Me
Bare with me as I experiment with the whole building a website thing. Luckily it takes time and keeps my mind focusing on the purpose of RECOVERY. So I have come up with a logo, “Recover+Me” where I can share my story. Whether your in active addiction or recovery this is a place where You don’t have to feel alone and where you can appreciate the smallest of accomplishments that feel HUGE to us. As I like to say….
“Recovery is about MINDSET!
My recovery started September 12, 2023, this is when things changed for me and I started living to experience life rather than living for the next high. I truly thought that I would die before I ever saw more than 8 hours without substance prior to my admit date in September 2023. It took me a kidney infection and detainment, but I for the first time in 18 years of heavy addiction managed to get through 60 days of inpatient. This is when MINDSET changed for me. The last 850 days have not all been spent sober but it’s my ULTIMATE goal to EXPERIENCE life rather than living from one high to the next.
Maybe you can relate, maybe my story or my insight will encourage others to give it a fair shot, either way I hope my story builds here and I look forward to interacting with those who want to join in this RAW and UNPREDICTABLE journey called……RECOVERY
